Woolpower has created the Protection product line, designed for the high demands of the professional user. These products, which meet specific EN standards such as flame resistance, anti-static, and electric arc flash, are grouped under the name Woolpower Protection. As part of Woolpower's responsibility towards the environment, they do not add chemicals, such as bromide, to increase flame resistance. Instead, they derive it from the unique properties in the fiber composition. All products in the Protection line are tested and certified by FIOH in Finland. Protection LITE has also been tested in the US to meet the minimum requirements of ASTM 1506-10A for garment grades in NFPA 70E. The close-fitting balaclava.
