I purchased this article on a whim as I needed a means to carry and hold 10 round magazines for my Pistol Calibre Carbine, as I own a CZ Scorpion Evo 3 I did a guesstimate and placed my order. It took less than a week for my order to arrive, and the communication between Total Survival and myself was great, thank you. Back to the article, it was never issued, is brand new, still in the manufacturers trade packaging (Sealed plastic bag). The law here only allows 10 round magazines for rifles/Carbines, which is a bit of a hindrance, but as the actual top flap that secures the magazine in place when closed is freely adjustable I am sure that this system will work with the twenty round magazine's, (Of which I don't own any to test that theory). As the magazine shoe has such a larger than the body of the magazine itself it sits on top of the sleeve securely and it just needs to be held in place while you pull on the top flap which then takes up the slack and then fold the top flap over and down using the Velcro to secure the magazine in place, the press studs don't engage but hey ho it's a misappropriation of something that was designed to do something else and works for me. The Velcro of the top flap engages with the Velcro on the sleeve for the whole of the width, and about 4cm with about 5cm of the top flap hanging down, very grabable enabling a speedy reload. Now I'll touch on the webbing part, I decided to wear this as a chestrig, put a dump pouch on the left hand side, for empty and partially used magazines. All the Strapping is 4cm wide which will and distribute and support the rig when all of the 11 magazines are fully loaded. Both the top strap and the waist belt are more than long enough, the top strapping continues down and gives you a belt loop on each end, one in the middle would have been nice to have so it doesn't sag under the weight, but as I said, I'm improvising here. There is so much webbing that in time I'll get a little mod done on the none buckle side a tuck and stitch to prevent the molle dump pouch sliding about on the waist belt. All in all I'm more than impressed that my purchase.
